Backstage Pass is a relaxation gel, not a full lubricant. It helps the muscles relax, but for comfortable anal play you'll want to use it alongside a proper lube — either Smooth Operator or Overtime. Apply Backstage Pass first, give it a few minutes to work, then add your lube of choice.
